After a fantastic first day of racing with three intense windward-leeward races, Katana finished at the top of the leaderboard with just 6 points.
But the real test was yet to come. With Saturday’s racing completely abandoned, the GL52 fleet was eager to get back on the water to settle the scores at the Little Traverse Yacht Club. The entire regatta came down to Sunday’s final race.
Heading into the last race, the pressure was great, but our team was ready. We finished in third place, a result that was all we needed to defend our lead. With that, we topped the podium, successfully securing the victory with a total of 9 points.
